Our Inspiration |

Mr. Shiv Nadar's inspiration for philanthropy comes from a desire to give back to the society that nurtured him. Mr. Shiv Nadar has been quietly supporting many critical social causes with his recent initiative being providing education for the under-privileged families of India. Mr. Shiva Nadar has been actively supported by his wife Kiran Nadar and daughter Roshni Nadar, in being a part of this inspiration to set up the Shiv Nadar Foundation.
The inspiration stems from the belief that high quality education will
have a positive impact on education to where it can truly uplift and transform lives; help narrow the socio-economic divide and bear forth India's future leaders from its rural heart. The vision is to build future leaders from rural India using high quality school education as a tool to bridge the rural-urban divide. The program derived from this inspiration will bring students from rural India who are potential high achievers, particularly ones who lack the advantage of exposure to a competitive environment at par with their urban counterparts.
